How to Track Your Tax Refund

Tax refunds might take longer than normal this year but you can track it after you've filed.

If you filed your tax returns, you’re likely waiting for a refund. We've been told to expect a slower return process this year.

Luckily, you can track it.

The IRS has a “Where's my Refund” function. All you need is your social security number, filing status and the exact amount of your refund.

No matter how early you filed, refunds won’t be deposited until February 27th. The IRS said you can start tracking the status on February 23rd.

The busiest time for the IRS is right around the corner.

It's expected to process 90% of refunds within 21 days. The most are expected this Friday through next Thursday.
