GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Guilford County deputies said two people are dead after a shooting in Whitsett Sunday.
Deputies said it started just before 6 p.m. as a domestic dispute. They responded to a house on Donahue Drive and found two victims had suffered a gunshot wound and died of their injuries. The victims were identified as 38-year-old Kimberly Denise Smith and 40-year-old Kevin Michael Smith. Investigators confirm the deceased were husband and wife.
They add that while it is an active and ongoing homicide investigation, they aren't seeking a suspect.
