GREENSBORO, N.C. (WFMY) – A new Publix Distribution Center is coming to Greensboro and with it 1,000 new jobs to the Triad area.
On Wednesday, Gov. Roy Cooper and local city leaders revealed a major economic development announcement at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro.
The company plans to invest $400 million while also creating 1,000 jobs over a number of years. The distribution center jobs would have a median salary of $42,000
In March, Greensboro City leaders unanimously approved an incentives package in hopes to persuade Publix to open a distribution center in East Greensboro.
