ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. -- The driver of a tractor-trailer has died after a fiery crash on Highway I-85 in Alamance County in Mebane.
According to the Highway Patrol, a tire blew out on the tractor-trailer causing the driver to lose control near exit 154.
The tractor-trailer traveled down an embankment and overturned before bursting into flames, killing the driver, Darryl Cupp.
The Highway Patrol said Cupp, 34, of Taylorsville was driving for BVR Trucking of Hiddenite.
