GREENSBORO, N.C. — A number of roads have closed in Greensboro due to flooding. 

Remember it takes just 12 inches of water to carry away a small car. Keep in mind, turn around, don't drown!

The City of Greensboro said you should avoid these roads and be aware of flooding when traveling throughout the city. Pay close attention to low lying areas as well.

The following roads have reopened:

  • Wendover Avenue at Cridland Road - OPEN
  • I-40 Westbound before Exit 210 – right lanes are flooded - OPEN
  • I-40 Eastbound at Lee Street - OPEN
  • Eastbound Bryan Boulevard at North Holden Road - OPEN
  • Wendover Avenue at US Rt. 29 - OPEN
  • Market Street from NC-68 (Lynwood Smith Expressway) to Airline Road - OPEN
  • Lathan Road between Nottingham Road and Cridland Road - OPEN
  • Eastbound West Market Street between Burgess Road and Arrow Road - OPEN

Check out Ashland Drive in Greensboro. Police are conducting a number of water rescues in the area.
