Kraft Halts Production Of Controversial Roadkill-Shaped Candy

It's a chewy candy complete with tire tracks, and it'll never see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Trenton, NJ -- It's a chewy candy complete with tire tracks, and it'll never see the light at the end of the tunnel. Kraft Foods has pulled its latest product, "Trolli Road Kill Gummi Candy", after receiving complaints from New Jersey animal rights activists. The candy came in the shape of flattened snakes, chickens, and squirrels, including tire treads. It hit the store shelves last summer. The New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said the candy encourages children to mistreat animals. Kraft officials didn't entirely agree. But they've brought sales of the road-kill candy to a screeching halt.
