Deputies investigating threat at a GCS middle school

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office said a student made a threat, and deputies do not believe there is any risk to the school.

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A concerning phone call went out to Northwest Middle School parents in Greensboro Wednesday night. 

Principal Denise Francisco called parents just before 6 p.m. about an "alarming statement."

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office said a student made a threat, and deputies do not believe there is any risk to the school.

The principal also shared that a student will not be allowed back on campus as the investigation unfolds.
