GREENSBORO, N.C. — Patients suffering from movement disorders, like Parkinson's, as well as their caregivers are invited to register for a free conference this Friday, October 11, 2024.
620 S. Elm Street
9 am-2 pm
Register by emailing: conehealthmovement@outlook.com
"Parkinson's affects the whole body and we say mind, body, and soul. And so we seek to provide holistic care in all of those areas um and not just provide medical care in this, in the form of medication um but provide exercise programs, social programs, psychological programs as well,” said Sarah Chambers, Integrated Clinician, Cone Health/LeBauer Neurology.
Organizers say they're working to connect with patients and their support systems to help them cope with the changes the diagnosis brings to everyday life.
"Parkinson's is a community um and a family illness meaning that it doesn't just affect the individual living with Parkinson's, it affects those around them. We understand that to provide the best care to the individual with Parkinson's, we, we also need to provide care and community to their family," said Chambers.
Several experts and doctors will lead the symposium, share the latest research, and talk one-on-one with you.
