4:05 p.m. Two staff members at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rowan County test positive for COVID-19.
Release from Rowan County
Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Rowan County received confirmation that 2 of their staff members have been diagnosed with COVID-19. These employees were sent home immediately. Tests for COVID-19 have also been administered to all residents and are awaiting test results. A public health communicable disease nurse and an environmental health specialist have already conducted a site visit and report that the facility is adhering to current guidelines and recommendations. Liberty Commons reports that they have notified all staff and residents, or their family members, of the positive tests.
3:12 p.m. South Carolina nursing home reports 73 cases of COVID-19, most in the state according to numbers released by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
2:24 p.m. NCDHSS map shows Guilford County has 293 cases of COVID-19 with 17 deaths.
11:36 a.m. According to a release from Forsyth County Government, the County’s total COVID-19 case count is currently 152. To date, there has been a total of 5 COVID-19 deaths in the county, according to the release.
11:22 a.m. According to the NCDHHS, there are currently 8,623 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 289 deaths in NC.
9:47 a.m. Rudd Farm closes temporarily as several workers test positive for coronavirus.
