An expert explains areas seeing the worst of the surge and why cases are up in the summer.

How the surge impacts North Carolina

Dr. Ohl says North Carolina reached its peak around two weeks ago and is seeing cases decrease already in the Triad.

  • Going outdoors more
  • Enhancing hygiene practices
  • Wearing a well-fitting mask
  • Keeping a distance from others
  • Getting tested for respiratory viruses
