American Heart Month: CPR and AEDs save lives

An American Heart Association certified instructor demonstrates how to perform CPR and how to use an AED.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — February is American Heart Month. According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States for both men and women. Every second counts when someone is having a heart attack or in cardiac arrest. Health experts say this is a time to learn how to perform CPR and how to use an AED to help save lives. 

Kim Bass is the President and CEO of CPR 4 Your Heart. She is also an American Heart Association certified instructor. She came to the WFMY News 2 Studio to demonstrate how to do CPR and how to use an AED.
