This week is the first full week of the summer season, and the weather will feel certainly feel like summer. We're in for a hot, humid, and mainly dry week, but we will see a few rain chances from time to time.
Right now it looks like one of the higher chances of widespread rain this week will arrive Monday evening. The majority of the day Monday will stay dry, but after 5 or 6pm showers and storms will move in from the west.
A few of the storms Monday night may be severe, with gusty wind and heavy rain as the main issues.
After this round of rain, high pressure in the mid and upper levels of the atmosphere will start to build in, limiting our rain chances.
Tuesday into the weekend, our rain chances will stay in the usual summertime 20-30% range, with the best chance of a pop op shower or storm occurring during the afternoon or evening hours.
