CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Actor Channing Tatum is filming a movie in the Queen City this fall, and we now know when it will be released.
The movie is called "Roofman" and is being filmed in Charlotte through December, with some Charlotteans playing roles.
"Roofman" is a true crime movie, based on the story of serial robber Jeffrey Manchester, who carried out dozens of break-ins at McDonald's restaurants by entering through their roofs, according to IMDb.
He escaped prison in the year 2000 and was on the loose for months, and was ultimately hiding in a Toys 'R Us and Circuit City store in North Carolina.
It's set to hit theaters on Oct. 3, 2025.
