High Point gives Fantasia Barrino a key to the city

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point native and singer-actress Fantasia Barrino attended the city's Juneteenth celebration over the weekend, where she received a special honor.

The city of High Point gifted Barrino a key to the city.

Barrino, 39, gained fame when she appeared on American Idol in 2004 and won.

She has since won a Grammy and received Golden Globe nominations for her music.
