FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County school kids are back to school Monday and seniors are in the midst of their first, last day.
At Reagan High School in Pfafftown class is in session. Before the bell rang Monday morning, two seniors shared their thoughts.
"Definitely nervous and excited for the upcoming school year," exclaimed 17-year-old, senior, Sophie Olsen.
Monday was the beginning of the end for Olsen and her classmate 17-year-old, senior, Lincoln Jackson. Both Olsen and Jackson started their first day of senior year Monday.
"I know this is the last year. I want to make the most of it. Also, I’m really excited for the opportunity to be more of a leader this year being seniors, I know we have more people looking up to us," explained Jackson.
While the seniors will set the example for lowerclassmen, their eyes are on the future.
"I'm looking at a lot of northeast schools. I want to play basketball in college. I’m trying to find the right fit academically and athletically," said Jackson.
"Hopefully I will attend college, and I will be studying communications and minoring in public relations," said Olsen.
After graduation the seniors are sure to go far, but not before making their final Raider memories.
