THOMASVILLE, N.C. — The Thomasville City Board of Education has chosen the next superintendent of Thomasville City Schools!
Dr. Quincy Williams was chosen out of 22 candidates, according to the board.
The board enthused about Williams' "extensive experience, exemplary leadership, and unwavering dedication to students and staff."
Williams has been working for North Carolina public education for nearly 25 years. His most recent role being the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools superintendent.
His other credentials include serving as the executive director of secondary schools for Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (2018-2021) and holding several administrative and educational positions within Guilford County Schools (2000-2018).
“I am profoundly honored and filled with immense gratitude to have been chosen as the next Superintendent of Thomasville City Schools,” Williams said in a statement.
Williams will begin his tenure starting in mid-May.
