WINSTON-SALEM, Forsyth — The days of wondering where your child's late bus is are over.
Winstom-Salem/Forsyth County Schools announced Monday, July 22 they will be implementing a new bus-tracker app for parents to keep tabs on school bus whereabouts in real-time.
Edulog Bus Portal will show the GPS location of a child's bus route and send push notifications when the bus gets closer to the student's stop. GPS locators will be installed in every bus, according to the school district.
Edulog Bus Portal is free for parents and guardians to download. It will also allow users to receive "time-sensitive updates" from the transportation department. If a substitute bus ends up assigned to the student's route, users will be notified of that too, the school district said.
