GREENSBORO, N.C. — NC A&T has named Jack Moorman as the interim police chief following the departure of former police chief Jermaine Cherry. He comes with 35 years of experience.
Moorman is a familiar face at NC A&T as he previously served as interim police chief in the 2020-21 academic year. He also served eight years as the police chief at NC State University (NCSU).
Since retiring from NCSU in 2019, Moorman has been an instructor/consultant for the National Association of Campus Safety Administrators, teaching courses on the federal Clery Act, facilitating tabletop emergency exercises, and serving as an instructor in NACSA's Command College.
