RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina State University (NCSU) asked the state Supreme Court to stop independent testing of a contaminated building. It doesn't want outside access to Poe Hall.
The building closed last November after inspectors found toxic chemicals inside. Some people who spent time inside the building now say they have cancer.
An appeals court ruled earlier this month to allow independent testing. The school is working with the EPA to determine when or if the building can safely reopen.
