GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A Triad elementary school student was honored after reaching a victorious milestone!
A kindergartener at Jesse Wharton Elementary was diagnosed with leukemia more than three years ago and is now in remission.
After he completed his treatments, his peers and staff gathered to celebrate him beating the battle against the diagnosis.
Everyone paraded around him in the hallways as he cut the ribbon, marking the end of his journey.
