BURLINGTON, N.C. — UPDATE:
Burlington police have charged a woman in connection to a shooting that happened during a fight in Burlington on Monday.
Officers identified 37-year-old Nicole Bond as the suspect. She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting injury among other charges.
Bond was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center where she didn't receive a bond.
A woman was taken to the hospital after being shot during a fight in Burlington, police say.
Officers responded to the shooting Monday evening around 6:30 p.m. on South Mebane Street.
A 36-year-old woman was shot during a fight between two parties. The parties involved knew each other and there is no threat to the community.
This investigation is ongoing.
