Woman shoots another woman in arm after fight in Winston-Salem, police say

Police said the 24-year-old was shot after a fight with a 21-year-old woman.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A woman was taken to the hospital after she was shot by another woman after a fight in Winston-Salem Wednesday.

Winston-Salem police said they responded to a shooting on the 1300 block of Creekshire Way shortly before 3 a.m.

While enroute, officers found, Kyler Wagner, 21, in her car at the intersection of Hanes Mall Blvd. and Brookview Blvd.

Officers discovered Alexis Robinson, 24, had a gunshot wound to the arm and was taken to the hospital by friends.

Her injury is considered non-life-threatening.

After initial investigation, police discovered Wagner and Robinson had gotten into a fight when Wagner shot Robinson and left.

The gun used in the shooting was seized by officers.

Wagner was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, with intent to kill/inflicting serious injury. Her bond is set at $100,000.

She is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
