Woman charged with attempted murder after domestic-related shooting in High Point: Police

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A 26-year-old woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly shot at people at the 1200 block of Brownsfield Court in High Point in a domestic-related incident, according to the High Point Police Department.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired around 1 p.m. on Sunday in the 1200 block of Brownsfield Court. According to High Point Police, calls to High Point 911 reported that a woman was shooting at a home with people inside. 

Haley S. Harrah, 26 of Winston-Salem, was arrested on the scene and has been charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm into domestic property, misdemeanor child abuse, and misdemeanor firearms or other weapons display and discharge prohibited.

Harrah is being held without bond at the Guilford County Jail in High Point.

Officers said in a press release that they determined Harrah fired into the home at least three times. Three people, including two children, were inside the home. Thankfully, no one was injured.

The High Point Police Department also said a child was left in the backseat of Harrah's vehicle while she allegedly carried out the shooting.
