Woman charged for shooting at 2 people following argument at Burlington bar, police say

Burlington police said two victims came to the station to report the incident saying they were in an altercation with another couple that led to the shooting.

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police met with two victims who came to the police department shortly after midnight Tuesday to report a shooting. 

The two victims reported that they were in an altercation with another couple at a bar on Harden Street and after leaving, encountered the couple while driving. 

The suspects began shooting from their car on Hanover Road and again on N. Church Street. No one was hurt during the shooting, according to police. 

The driver, Alana Doutt, 25, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. She was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center and given a $100,000 bond. 

This investigation is ongoing.
