GRAHAM, N.C. — Police arrested a woman accused of robbing two banks in the Triad.
On Wednesday, Graham Police responded to a robbery at PNC bank. Investigators say a woman entered the bank, handed a note to the teller demanding money, and left in a white mini-van.
A short time later, police found the suspect, 41-year-old Melissa Lynette Rhodes, of Cary, North Carolina, in a parking lot off Brundage Lane in Mebane.
Police found the stolen money and the note used in the robbery. Rhodes was arrested without incident.
Investigators say Rhodes is also accused of robbing the Wells Fargo bank on S. Fifth Street in Mebane on February 19.
Rhodes was charged with two counts of common law robbery.
Rhodes was taken to Alamance County Jail where she is being held under a $125,000 secured bond for both robberies.
