WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem detectives are investigating a bank robbery they say happened on Thursday morning.
According to a release, officers from the Winston-Salem Police Department said the suspect went to a Wells Fargo on Country Club Road with a gun.
They described him as a 6-foot-tall heavy set black man in women's clothes and a face covering. He was allegedly armed with a gun and demanded money from the bank.
Officers said the man took an undisclosed amount of money and ran away from the scene.
Anyone with information that may lead to his arrest is asked to call the Winston-Salem Police Department.
