WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man was arrested after allegedly stealing a school bus in Winston-Salem, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
Police were called at 4:10 p.m. in regards to a stolen school bus.
Police claim they attempted a traffic stop on Peters Creek Parkway. Police said the driver did not stop.
The driver allegedly drove over the median and into oncoming traffic, not stopping for about one mile.
The driver crashed into a field, police said. Luckily, no one was injured.
Joseph Spainhour was identified as the driver and was the sole occupant of the school bus.
Spainhour was arrested and charged with felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle, felony Flee to Elude, and multiple Chapter 20 violations.
