Man shot in Winston-Salem parking lot, police searching for suspect

Police said the suspect and the victim did not know each other.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man was shot in the parking lot of a 10 Federal Self Storage at 4955 Indiana Avenue in Winston-Salem on Sunday, June 30, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department (WSPD).

The victim had a minor gunshot wound and was treated by Forsyth County EMS at the scene.

According to police, the victim said he was in his car and was arguing with the driver of another car when the driver shot the victim.

The suspect drove away afterward, police said.

Police said the suspect and the victim did not know each other.

The suspect is described as a male with a short haircut, driving a small white SUV, according to the WSPD.
