WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police are investigating the city's first homicide of 2022. Detectives said a man was shot to death.
Police got a report of an unresponsive man lying on the ground in the 2400 block of North Patterson Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Monday. When officers arrived, they found 33-year-old Victor Floyd Hardy had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Police said the road has since reopened. It's unclear what led up to the shooting or if there is any suspect information.
