WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem Police say a house was hit by gunfire during a shooting between two vehicles Tuesday night.
Police say the shooting happened on Broadway Drive between an SUV and a car. Bullets hit a home nearby on Walsh Street. Nobody inside the home was hurt, but the two drivers who shot at each other have not been found.
When officers found the SUV, police say the driver took off. The SUV was found a short time later in a driveway on Shalimar Drive. Police say due to the nature of the crime involving guns, and the male suspect running from police, the road was shut down to keep others safe.
Police say they contacted the owner of the home, but the suspect was not found inside.
They say the second driver in this case has not been found either.
Police say the two drivers knew each other, and this was not a random act.
