WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 23-year-old was arrested after sparking a police chase in a vehicle connected to a robbery in Winston-Salem Friday night, police say.
Winston-Salem police said they found the suspect vehicle in the 3600 block of Old Lexington Road. That's when the police said Anthony Darnell White II led officers on a chase that ended on the 1800 block of Chapel Street.
Police said he was the only one in the suspect vehicle at the time of the chase. His vehicle and several items were seized and he has since been charged with the following offenses:
- Felony Flee to Elude Arrest
- Possession with Intent to Sell & Distribute Cocaine
- Possession with Intent to Sell & Deliver Marijuana
- Carrying a Concealed Gun
- Careless & Reckless Driving
- Driving While License Revoked
- Multiple stop light/stop sign violations
In addition, investigators said he was served with a warrant for his arrest for robbery with a dangerous weapon.
