Since Saturday, at least seven restaurants and businesses have had windows shot into with a BB gun or a slingshot, according to police.

"I don't understand it," said Jennifer Brewer, Owner of J. Brewer & Co. Hair Studio. "We've been open for 16 years and have never had one vandalism. No problems at all."

Brewer's salon was hit not once, but twice by the vandals breaking window glass.

"It's frustrating when you have worked hard and you come in and someone who has free time and ill will just causes this much damage," she explained.

The damage is setting Brewer back $1,000, even with insurance.

Police say David's Restaurant, The Table, CJ's Restaurant, Bottle and Can, J Brewer and Co. Hair Studio, Select Homes and Chick-fil-A have all been hit.

Some business owners have replaced the broken windows with plastic. Others are installing security cameras and alarms.

Police say they have security footage from some of the restaurants but they had not been able to narrow down a suspect, as of Wednesday afternoon.

Some of the vandalisms took place near Bia's Gourmet Hardware, a restaurant that's been vandalized six times in the last two years. However, police say they don't believe the recent vandalisms are related to the issues at Bia's.
