2 people shot at car service business in Asheboro, suspect arrested

ASHEBORO, N.C. — A man is arrested after shooting two people at Lowe Body & Glass in Asheboro Wednesday, police say. 

Officers responded to the 200 block of Saunders Drive about a shooting just before 1 p.m. They found two victims at the scene who had suffered gunshot wounds. 

Officers said Marshall Tyrel Ragsdale went into the business to inquire about damage to his car, which was towed and kept that the business. 

During the interactions with the workers, which happened outside, Ragsdale shot them both. 

Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

Ragsdale was arrested near the scene of the shooting and was taken to the police department for investigative purposes. 

This investigation is ongoing.
