ASHEBORO, N.C. — Asheboro police are investigating after a shooting left a man dead, Friday morning.
According to the Asheboro Police Department, the shooting involving four people happened on Coleridge Road.
Police said 22-year-old Detavius Bruton was pronounced dead at a local hospital, while 18-year-old Azion Fair and Jemen Portis were treated for gunshot wounds.
Investigators said robbery was a motive in the deadly shooting. They arrested 18-year-old Jemen Portis and charged him with murder, Friday afternoon.
Azion Fair, 18, was arrested Friday evening.
Police also arrested 24-year-old Derek Walls, Jr. and charged him with murder on Monday afternoon.
Officials said all three men are being held at the Randolph County Jail under no bond.
