WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Winston-Salem Police Department has arrested and charged three people after a shooting occurred on Oct. 21.
The three people arrested face several weapons charges.
Izayiah Anajj Nieves, 18, was arrested and charged with:
Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury
Felony Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle
Felony Conspiracy to Commit a Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
Felony Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
Felony Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
Misdemeanor Resist, Delay, & Obstruct a Public Officer
Davonte Omar Lewis, 18, was arrested and charged with:
Felony Conspiracy to Commit a Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
Felony Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
Felony Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
Misdemeanor Resist, Delay, & Obstruct a Public Officer
Rahzier Lamond Delapp, 19, was arrested and charged with:
Felony Conspiracy to Commit a Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
Felony Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
Felony Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
Misdemeanor Resist, Delay, & Obstruct a Public Officer
On Oct. 21, the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a reported shooting at the 1900 block of East 24th Street.
Officers found J’meil Hairston, 48, suffering from several gunshot wounds when they arrived at the scene. Hariston was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. He is in stable condition.
