WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Editor's Note: The video above is from a previous story about Winston-Salem crime stoppers being anonymous.
Three men were arrested after police said they tried to rob a man at a house party in Winston-Salem Thursday.
Police said they were called to the 2500 block of Greenwich Road about an attack involving weapons. When they arrived, officers found a victim suffering from minor head injuries at a house party with multiple adults and juveniles.
Police identified, 21-year-old Timothy Green, as the victim and said he was treated on the scene by EMS.
After an investigation, detectives said 20-year-old Montez Young and 18-year-old Joshua Edmonds attacked Green and pulled out a gun to rob him of his personal items.
Winston-Salem police said both Young and Edmonds were found at the home and detained by police. The resident and host of the house party, Joshua Shields, was also detained at the scene. Based on the evidence observed in plain view, a search warrant was applied for and executed at the residence.
The search warrant resulted in the seizure of the following items:
- Smith & Wesson .40 caliber pistol
- Glock 23 model 9mm pistol
- Jimenez Arms 9mm pistol
- 577 grams of Marijuana
- 74 Alprazolam (Xanax) pills
- 1 Oxycodone pill
- $256 in US Currency
Young and Edmonds were arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and various narcotics offenses while Shields was arrested and charged with multiple narcotics offenses.
