WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 58-year-old man was hit and killed in Winston-Salem Monday morning, according to police.
The Winston-Salem Police Department said it happened on the 3600 block of Thomasville Road just before 8 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a victim who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. No cars were on the scene, and a tip came in from someone driving by.
After an investigation, detectives determined Jose Abel Luna-Rodriguez was walking along Thomasville Road when he was hit. Police said Luna-Rodriguez did not survive.
This investigation is ongoing.
