A Thomasville man was arrested and charged in Florida after allegedly driving into a crowd of people at a strip club, according to Tampa police.
Officers said on Aug. 13 they responded to reports of a truck vs. pedestrian crash in the parking lot of the Emperor's Gentlemen's Club in Tampa. They found the truck near the edge of the parking lot.
Bystanders said the driver, 25-year-old Dylan Fogle of Thomasville, NC, had been kicked out of the club and came back to drive the truck into people standing at the club entrance. Law enforcement found through their investigation Fogle had been removed from the club because of inappropriate behavior.
When the crash happened, six people were standing near the club's entrance when Fogle drove into them. One man, Giovanni Soto, was killed during the crash. Two other men were seriously injured.
Fogle was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries. There it was discovered his blood alcohol content was above the legal 0.08 limit.
After being released from the hospital, Fogle was taken to jail and charged with:
- One Felony Count of Murder in the First Degree
- Two Felony Counts of Attempted Murder in the First Degree
- One Felony Count of Vehicular Homicide
- Two Felony Counts of DUI with Serious Bodily Injury
- One Felony Count of DUI Manslaughter
