THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A man has been arrested for performing a lewd act outside of a Thomasville business on August 13, police say.
The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Qi-Yamah Hijr Rasheed Gause. Officers said they were called to Randolph Street around 4:20 p.m. and learned that Gause had ran away from the area.
A woman who reported the incident told officers she heard something outside her business, MD Studios, and went outside to investigate. As she stepped outside, she observed Gause performing the lewd act. She said when Gause saw her, he ran away.
On Wednesday, Thomasville police posted Gause's picture on Facebook and asked for the community's help in identifying him. Detectives followed up on tips received and identified Gause.
Gause was charged with indecent exposure and is currently wanted. If anyone has any information on his whereabouts, please call Thomasville Police at 336-475-4260 or Crime Stoppers at 336-476-8477.
