GREENSBORO, N.C. — Nearly four years since a 20-year-old man was killed in Greensboro, two suspects now face charges.
Guilford County Sheriff's Office arrested 22-year-old Howard Hakeem Banks on Tuesday for the killing of Anthony Kristopher King. The second suspect, Amari Alan Jackson, is already in jail for a separate offense. Both suspects face a first-degree murder charge and a robbery with a dangerous weapon charge.
Deputies responded to Cannan Forest Road on the morning of October 8, 2020 for a possible assault victim. When they arrived, they found King dead from "obvious traumatic injuries to indicate he was the victim of a homicide."
Banks is being held in jail under a $1,000,000 bond. GCSO said Jackson will be served warrants in the near future.
