Man shot in Summerfield, woman arrested, deputies say

SUMMERFIELD, N.C. — A man was shot in Summerfield at 5:31 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, according to the Guilford County Sheriff's Office.

The victim was found shot on the 5400 block of Thorpe Drive, deputies said.

The victim was said by deputies to have a single gunshot wound that was considered non-life-threatening. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Deputies arrested Jessica Elizabeth Gray, 22, and charged her with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.

She was issued a $5,000 secured bond and was remanded to the Guilford County Detention Center.

She was released from custody on Dec. 15, according to deputies
