Shots fired at Winston-Salem Speedway gas station, police say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Shots were fired at a Winston-Salem Speedway gas station on Friday, Aug. 2, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.

Two people arrived in a blue Chevrolet truck at the Speedway on 5434 University Parkway.

Police said the two subjects were involved in a dispute with employees.

The passenger of the truck fired multiple rounds toward the business and employees, according to police.

At least one round struck the exterior of the business, officers said.

Luckily, no one was injured.

The driver was described as an older male, approximately 50-60 years old, with white/grey hair and a white/grey beard. The passenger and suspect of shooting the firearm was described as a younger male, approximately 18-25 years old with curly hair and light blue/gray eyes.

The investigation is ongoing.
