MEBANE, N.C. — Four men have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery at a Mebane Wells Fargo last month, and police say the suspects may be involved in similar stickups across the state.
The robbery happened on December 18 at the bank on S. Fifth Street. Police say three men wearing masks charged the bank with handguns and shotguns and demanded money. No one was hurt and the suspects got away with cash.
Police arrested the following individuals in connection to the crime:
Clifton Joshua Harris:
- Conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Currently jailed in Wake County on a $2.5 million bond
Stanley Kearney:
- Conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Second-degree kidnapping (two counts)
- Assault by pointing a gun (two counts)
- Currently jailed in Jones County on a $1 million bond
Joshua JeJuan Bailey:
- Conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Second-degree kidnapping
- Assault by pointing a gun
- Currently jailed in Granville County on a $685,000 bond
Cameron Denzel Evans:
- Conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Second-degree kidnapping (two counts)
- Assault by pointing a gun (two counts)
- Currently jailed in Vance County on a $500,000 bond
