GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened on Sunday, Dec. 15.

Police said they responded to the 3100 block of Forest Lawn Drive around 12:32 p.m. on Sunday and found a man at a nearby business with non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot.

The man was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.

The man was driving his vehicle on Forest Lawn Driven when he and his vehicle were struck.

Police said the shooting appears to be a random act, at this time, and there is no suspect information yet except for possibly another man wearing a gray hoodie.

Officers and K-9 units looked around the area but did not find a suspect.

Forest Lawn Drive is a heavily populated area.

The road runs right into a cemetery with Mt. Pisgah Church on one side, and Lewis Recreation Center on the other.

Trail walkers told WFMY News 2's Amber Lake that they have never heard of something like this happening in this area.

This is still an active investigation, according to police.
