Man was shot after being followed, police searching for suspects

Police say the suspects also robbed the victim.

GRAHAM, N.C. — A man was shot after allegedly being followed by two men in a pickup truck around 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, according to the Graham Police Department.

According to police, the victim said two men followed him in a gray pickup truck to a business on 1044 Jimmie Kerr Road.

One of the men confronted him inside the business in "commission of a robbery," before shooting him, according to police.

The victim was flown to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and he is expected to survive, according to police.

The suspect then stole the victim's vehicle keys and fled in a white 2023 Ford F150 with a Georgia registration tag of CMP-1019.

The suspects left the scene heading west towards Greensboro on I-40.

The victim's pickup truck was located unoccupied in Guilford County, police said.

The second suspect drove away in a grey, late 90's to early 2000's model Dodge Ram 1500 with no tailgate, dark tinted windows, and black aftermarket wheels.

The suspect in the shooting is described as being approximately 5'6" tall, wearing a gray striped polo shirt, black gym shorts, and a short haircut.
