WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man was arrested for a Winston-Salem shooting, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
On Nov. 15, James Huff, 33, was shot and injured on Salem Gardens Drive shortly before 5 p.m.
When officers arrived they found Huff on the ground near the north side with a gunshot wound to the arm and upper torso. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries
Members of the WSPD Firearms Investigation and Intelligence Division (FIID)/Gun Crime Reduction Unit (GCRU) responded to the scene and have assumed investigative responsibility.
The FID and GCRU obtained a warrant to arrest Craig Hale, 27, on Nov. 15 for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury and Discharging a Firearm in City Limits.
On Nov. 21, Hale turned himself into authorities at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center.
He received no bond.
