RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A man is facing multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in Randolph County, according to a release sent from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office on Monday.
Deputies said they received a report on Aug. 10 detailing a possible sexual offense on a minor. After investigating, detectives charged Brandon Dale Sylvester, 32, for felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and felony third-degree exploitation of a minor.
Sylvester was found and arrested on Aug. 14 for the aforementioned charges. He was taken to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was held on a $25,000 secured bond.
He bonded out of jail after his first appearance in court.
Later, following an additional investigation by detectives, more charges were sought against Sylvester for the following:
- 20 counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor
- Four counts of indecent liberties with a child
- 10 counts of first-degree statutory rape
- Six counts of statutory sex offense with a child
