RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A Randolph County man has been charged with statutory rape of a minor, according to deputies.
In April, deputies received a report of a possible sex offense upon a minor. Following the investigation, detectives sought charges for 21-year-old Andrew Sanchez for three counts of Statutory Rape of a Minor 15 years of age.
The magistrate issued a warrant for arrest.
On Monday, Sanchez was arrested in High Point and taken to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant. He was given no bond and appeared in court the next day.
