GREENSBORO, N.C. — Officers were on the scene investigating a shooting in Greensboro Friday where two people were injured, according to police.
Greensboro police said they received a call about a shooting on Freeman Mill Road at the 2000 block of Coliseum Boulevard around 4:40 p.m.
Officers said they found one man with multiple gunshot wounds and another man with a gunshot wound to his lower leg/foot.
Both victims were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, police interviewed another man who was connected to the incident, along with surveillance video which helped investigators determine a fourth person had left the scene with a gun.
The gun was recovered around the area where the fourth person was seen running away.
Investigators believe all persons involved knew each other and met up for the buying and selling of illegal drugs.
Police said the exchange took place in a car where one person attempted to rob the other which led to the shooting.
A witness in the area told WFMY News 2 crews they heard 20 to 30 gunshots.
Investigators said three guns were seized along with drugs.
No charges have been made pending further investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
