ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Police say what started as a dog bite ended with a man biting a person in Rock Hill.
It happened in the 1300 block of McDow Drive, in the early morning hours of Monday.
Officers found both people involved at Hargett Park. Katie Hefner told them that Errick Williamsons' pit bull bit her son, and then left her house on foot. She said she chased Williamson to the park, where he allegedly let go of the leash. Hefner said she stepped on the leash to get control of the dog. That's when, she says, Williamson bit her on the arm.
Officers said they did find a bite mark. She was treated for minor injuries.
Police say Williamson admitted his dog bit the child and that he bit Hefner after she tried to control his dog. He's charged with third-degree assault and battery, as well as marijuana possession.
The dog was quarantined.
